| | | Being creative is not something you can teach. Natural artistic abilities and talents are gifts that you discover within yourself as you grow and experiment with different mediums. You can go to the finest schools and have the very best instructors, but if you don't look for your inspiration to be creative, you will not discover those gifts you may have hidden within.
Leonard is one of those kind of artists that does not just hold to one form of art. He recognizes his abilities and limits, learned skills and interests. Looks to nature for his inspiration and interprets what he sees using different mediums and substrates.
Leonard does not care to compete with other artists, but rather to inspire and be inspired by others. His philosophy is be who you are, do what you love, and make a living doing it. If you want to be a professional artist, refuse to be a starving artist.
His largest project 'Noah's Ark' is now on permanent display in the new Hooked Rug Museum of North America in the Mary Sheppard Burton and Leonard Feenan gallery.
